Safari in Africa

Discover Africa's wilderness

The current top 10 Safari destinations in Africa where you can see the 'Big Five' include the wildlife parks in

Southern Africa:  Botswana, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, and Zambia.

Eastern Africa: Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda

West Africa: Gabon

The 'Big Five', a term coined by big game hunters, are the Cape buffalo, the African elephant, the leopard, the lion, and the rhinoceros (increasingly the hippo is included instead of the rhino). Among the most dangerous animals, the term refers to the difficulties hunters face in hunting them, no their size.

Safari can mean hunting and touring but also watching and photographing wildlife.

Among the most amazing safari experiences counts the annual migration of millions of zebra, wildebeest (gnu) and other antelopes, in search of water and food, from the Serengeti Plains in Tanzania to Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.
