Egyptair, flag carrier airline of Egypt, was established in 1932 (as Misr Airwork), carries some 8.6 million passengers a year to 78 destinations. Member of Star Alliance.
Royal Air Maroc, based at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, carries almost 6 million passengers a year to 78 destinations.
Tunisair, established in 1948, carries almost 4 million passengers a year to 49 destinations.
Air Algérie, Algeria´s national carrierservices approximately 3 million passengers per year to 68 destinations. Member of SkyTeam.
Ethiopian Airlines, founded in 1945, carries some 3 million passengers per year to 74 destinations. Best Airline in Africa Award 2008. Set to become member of Star Alliance in 2011.
Kenya Airways, established in 1977, carries 2,6 million passengers per year to 50 destinations. Slogan: The Pride of Africa. Member of SkyTeam.
Air Mauritius, founded in 1968, operates regional and international services to over 30 destinations.
Libyan Airlines, founded in 1965, operates scheduled passengers and cargo services to some 30 destinations. It is set to merge with Afriqiyah in November 2010.
Kulula, based in South Africa, won the Best Low-Cost Airline Africa award in 2010.
