An overview on travel and tourism in Africa

It is difficult to encapsulate the purity, crudeness, magnitude, and diversity of the travel and tourism options on the African continent into a few words. Africa offers tourists a traveling experience that is incomparable to anything in the world.

Nowhere on earth you are put to bed with the distant roars of a lion as a lullaby or watch wildlife dawdle on the beach, or see elephants, chimpanzees, gorillas, and whales all in one park or go on safari to a swamp, forest, beach and savannah all in a single day! It is only in Africa where you can see a million flamingos take off against sunrise or witness a spectacular zebra or wildebeest migration.

Traveling to Africa will reward you with scenery so magnificent it will leave you with a yearning memory forever. However, the beauty of Africa is not locked up in the spectacular natural scenery. The epitome of Africa is in the spirit of her people. The hospitality, laughing, singing, shoving, pushing, and dancing is so mesmerizing and tourists are so struck by the honesty, vitality, and warmness of Africans that they just have to come back for more.

Picture yourself dancing to the rhythmic beats on a West African beach or roaming the tapered avenues of an Arabic medina and have a friendly squabble about the price of a souvenir or fish under a palm tree on the Indian Ocean shoreline.

The robust nature of Africa makes it a challenging place to travel to and it can become testing at times. Apart from the scenery, you are likely to come across hardships and disasters happening are not excluded. However, there is no need to believe all you see and hear in the media about civil wars, starvation, violent crimes, plagues and all else that want to draw resemblance to hell itself.

A visit to Africa is an intriguing, enlightening, and humbling experience just waiting for you to explore.
