Distinctly South African features of the World Cup
Zakumi, a green and yellow dancing leopard, is the official 2010 World Cup mascot.

Another fixture at South African soccer matches is a noisy plastic trumpet called a vuvuzela. So loud is the vuvuzela that in fact many foreign teams have expressed their desire for the trumpet-like instrument to be banned but Fifa and SA’s Organising Committee have reiterated that the instrument is here to stay.
