Yes, South Africa is gearing up to host the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup between June 11 and July 11 2010. It will be the first time that an African country will host this prestigious international tournament.
Opening match and semi-finals
The opening match will be played at Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg. Semi-final matches will be held in Port Elizabeth, Cape Town and Durban. The final is scheduled to be played on July 11, 2010, also at Soccer City.
