A stone’s throw from Spain, but with the appeal to European holidaymakers of an advantageous exchange rate, Morocco has become a hugely popular destination in recent years.
Its capital is Rabat, but it is other cities that steal the limelight: Tangiers, with its Mediterranean coast and Spanish style villas, Casablanca with that famous gin bar, and the walled city of Marrakech, with one of the busiest market places in Africa, Djemaa el -Fna.
